At the press conference of the Han Municipal Government, it was learned that the city is soliciting cutting-edge and innovative technological achievements in the fields of photochemistry and green manufacturing from around the world, focusing on multiple areas such as photochemical materials, green manufacturing processes, and photocatalytic technology, to promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and industrial upgrading.
Photochemistry is a cutting-edge field that intersects multiple disciplines and fields. Wuhan City will hold the “Wuchuangyuan” International Photochemical and Green Manufacturing Technology Innovation Competition. Guo Yanbing, the person in charge of the competition organizer and vice president of Wuhan Institute of Photochemical Technology, introduced that the participants of this competition are open to the world, and the main participants need to participate in the competition in the name of a team. The team members should have a background in universities, research institutes, innovation platforms or corporate scientific research, and intend to transform and implement the participating projects in Wuhan. The competition will simultaneously set up two major venues, domestic and foreign, and invite renowned experts to serve as judges.
Guo Yanbing introduced that currently, the competition channel has been opened. Through preliminary rounds, roadshows, coaching, and demonstrations, the final will be held during the 2nd International Conference on Photochemical Technology and Industry in October this year.
According to the introduction, based on project innovation, maturity, institutional investment, and the landing of incubation parks, the competition will select two categories of awards: Innovation Leading Award and Innovation Breakthrough Award. Among them, award-winning projects with obvious technological innovation advantages and the conditions for implementation and transformation can receive up to 2 million yuan (RMB, the same below) in project support for achievement transformation. Award winning projects that currently do not have the conditions for landing and conversion and are still in the stage of technological research and development can enter Wuhan Institute of Photochemical Technology for cultivation, with funding support ranging from 200000 to 5 million yuan, as well as sharing of high-end instruments and equipment in pilot platforms and analysis and testing centers.
To support the smooth holding of the competition and the settlement of high-quality photochemical and green manufacturing technologies, Qingshan District in Wuhan has reserved 12000 square meters of low-cost or even zero cost office space, which can be directly used for the office of the competition settled enterprises.
